Vice President's Roles & Responsibilities

Welcome To Leadership

Thank you for your contributions to TNT and helping us grow our organization! You've been selected as your chapter's vice president. Please read the responsibilities for this position below. This page will cover what is expected of you during your time in this leadership role and give you some pointers for getting started in leadership.

As vice president, your job is to set goals for the chapter and track everything including outside meetings, referrals passed, visitors, categories the chapter is looking for and member of the month. At first, vice president might seem intimidating, but corporate is here to make sure you have everything you need to do your role effectively. We look forward to having your help!

Set Goals For Your Chapter

The vice president is responsible for setting all chapter goals. It's important to discuss with your chapter and decide on goals that everyone agrees with. It's also important to set attainable goals using past chapter stats to to help determine what can realistically be completed. Setting goals that are too high and end up not being reached can have a negative impact on the chapter. You will set goals for referrals, increasing members in your chapter, outside meetings, and visitors for the month. When the chapter meets a goal, increase it by 10%.

Chapter Tracking

The vice president is responsible for tracking everything. Each meeting there will be baskets passed around to collect outside meeting and referral slips. You are responsible for collecting those and entering the numbers into the tracking spreadsheet as well as calculating who wins Member of The Month. You can use the MOTM Calculator to help with this.

Chapter Reporting

As vice president of your chapter, one of your most important responsibilities is to report your chapter stats to corporate. You do this using the VP Report and the tracking spreadsheet. You are to complete this spreadsheet within 24 hours of your meeting. Corporate will give you until the 5th of the following month to have your month completed for MOM tracking. Failure to complete this by the cutoff day will result in your chapter's member of the month not being posted on the TNT website.

How To Track Member of The Month

Use the following scale to calculate Member of the Month points. A minimum of 10 points is required for a member to qualify for Member-of-the-Month. MOTM winners will be featured on the TNT website home page, each chapter's page, and in the chapter dashboard.

  • 1 point for each day the member attends
  • 2 point for each outside meeting the member has during the month
  • 1 point for each time you visit another chapter
  • 1 point for each time you sub in another chapter
  • 2 points for each corporate training you attend *
  • 5 points for each visitor a member brings in
  • 10 points for each new member a contestant sponsors

In case of a tie, use the following structure (in this order) to determine a winner:

  1. The member with the most “member sponsor” points (a visitor that joins, any chapter)
  2. The member with the most “visitor” points
  3. The member with the most BOOM “Bring On Outside Meeting” points
  4. The member with the most “attendance” points
Disclaimer: If a member qualifies for Member-of-the-Month (i.e., Earned in the month of April) and the spreadsheet is not completed by the 5th of the following month (i.e., Submitted by May 5th), then it will not be posted on the website. It is the responsibility of the Vice President for Member-of-the-Month to be honored.
