Mentor's Roles & Responsibilities

Welcome To Leadership

Thank you for your contributions to TNT and helping us grow our organization! You've been selected as your chapter's mentor. Please read the responsibilities for this position below. This page will cover what is expected of you during your time in this leadership role and give you some pointers for getting started in leadership.

As the mentor for your chapter, you are responsible for helping new members as they join the chapter get comfortable in TNT. If a new member is completely new to networking, you should aim to help them grow and give them advice.

What Do Mentors Do

  • Meet with any new members and establish yourself as a go-to person if they have any questions about networking or TNT.
  • If you know a member is new to networking, offer to meet with them and give them advice on how to network, how to give a 60-second commercial, etc.
  • Help new members who may be shy get comfortable networking around the room and offer friendly advice when needed.
  • At the end of the meeting, give a motivational or inspiring quote and explain how it can be applied to networking or business.

Be Your Chapter's Success Partner

As your Chapter's Mentor, you are the resource for your fellow networking partners who are new to TNT and Networking alike. You will work with new members who are inducting into your chapter to mentor them in their networking.

Utilize the New Member Success Guide and conduct a proper outside meeting with them to show them the appropriate way to conduct a meeting.

If you are unsure of how to properly have a meeting, please reach out to the corporate team to schedule one.

During the meetings, you will close out with some Mentoring Moments. It has been really fun to see how each chapter develops their own unique spin.

Think of different principles, motivational quotes, stories or tips that will encourage your chapter to go out and be successful in the week ahead.

Google can be your friend if you don't have something that you want to bring up, but take notes through the week of motivational tidbits, excerpts of the latest book you are reading or something powerful you heard in your favorite personal development podcast.

When members are struggling to meet goals, follow through or invite, help guide them utilizing the training videos to help educate them on the value doing those tasks.
